Modding a Futaba S3001 Servo
This really is easy, but I had to do a bit of Googling and look at very small pictures to see what I had to do. Therefore, I've taken pictures along the way and written this little guide.
We start with a Futaba S3001 Servo:

As far as tools go, I used this:
Turn the servo up-side down and unscrew the 4 screws. You can leave them in, they go all the way through to the top of the servo (which we're going to remove):
The loosened screws:
Now, we can take the top of the servo (move it around a bit and it should come off without problems):
Now, put the bottom half of the servo, with the screws away and take the top of the servo:
Hold the plastic 'wheel'-thing, unscrew the screw in the center and remove the wheel (again, move it around a bit, it should come off without any problems):
If you now push on the white 'gear' the two gears will come out on the other side:
We have to modify the one with the bearings on it. Look for the plastic 'tab' below the bearing:
Take a sharp knife or a file or another tool of your choice and remove it. Be careful not to damage the teeth or the bearing and make sure to also remove the bit under the bearing:
This will allow the gear to rotate freely. Now we need to remove a piece of plastic that connects the gear to a potentiometer (which the servo uses to determine its location) so the servo won't break it. Turn the gear upside down:
Remove the grey ring and the white piece of plastic beneath it. Afterwards, put the grey ring back in. You should be left with this (and a piece of plastic to throw away):
To be able to put the two gears back into the top of the servo, you need to place the smaller gear, next to the larger one, like this (yes, I'm re-using a picture):
Then turn the top over, the metal 'pin' should go in the smaller gear and the tip of the gear with the bearing should come through the hole in the top.
Now you should have this:
Put the two halves back together, make sure no gears fall out!
Your servo should now rotate 360 degrees!
