DIY Speaker review
A few weeks ago I posted pictures of the speaker-kits I got for my birthday. Last weekend I finally painted them and hung them on the wall in our study/work/computer-room:
The sound is much better than I expected!

The lower tones aren't very good, a bit "boomy" sometimes and it sounds like something is vibrating. This very likely is caused by me drilling the holes for the screws a little too big, making the screws very loose. I'll find bigger screws and hope the sound becomes better.
The mid and high tones really sound really good, though!
Unfortunately, the small amplifier I'm using with them isn't that good. The volume is the same from 50% till 100%, I think it might not have enough power to really drive these speakers.
Also, there is a "sizzling" sound coming through the speakers sometimes.
For now, though, it is good enough. Certainly much better than my old computer speakers.
The experience of building them was also very nice, though next time I'd use my table saw and a router instead of sawing by hand and using chisels...
I'm very happy with them!
