Plantronics Discovery 925 Black review

For my birthday, my girlfriend gave me a new bluetooth headset. Read on to see some pics and read about my experiences with this headset.

I previously had two other Plantronics Bluetooth headsets, a Discovery 610 and a 650E. Both very good and comfortable headsets. But I'm a gadget-freak, and I wanted something new.

The headset came with quite a bit of stuff:

Unfortunately, the charger is for the US, this means I  cannot plug in into the wall here in the Netherlands, but it also came with a USB cable, trough which it can be recharged. It also came with three different sizes of earpieces, just like my older headsets. The best thing about it is the small leather pouch it comes in, you can see it best in the first photo. It contains a battery (you plug your charger into the bottom of the pouch and put the headset inside it, you'll charge both the pouch and the headset), if you're away, your headset will charge between calls when you put it inside the pouch.

The only thing I'm missing is a car charger, but I've already ordered one via eBay.

It is also very comfortable to wear (yes, that's my ear):

I have the little rubber earpiece on backwards from how it is shown in the manual, but this is more comfortable for me and it seems to stay in place better this way. Also, this way, the little speaker is directly in front of the ear-opening. When the rubber earpiece is on the other way around, it is not... Sound quality of this headset is very good. I can't comment on the quality of the microphone, but I've used it for a few calls now, and I haven't had any comments about background noise. But then, I didn't get these when using my older Plantronics headsets either.

The speaker quality on the other hand seems very good. The sound is very clear and seems "fresher" than my other headsets. It might just be me or the airwaves, but the Bluetooth radio also appears to be better. I haven't had any disturbances or crackling in the sound, while I did have this with my older headsets.

I'm very happy with it!

By the way, don't buy it in a store, shop around on eBay, you'll save a LOT of money!
