Books by Neal Stephenson

After a bit of a slow reading-period (driving to work with my car every day..) the last few years, I've started reading again in september. After reading Cryptonomicon, the Baroque Cycle, Zodiac, Snow Crash and The Diamond Age, a few years ago, I still had Interface, The Cobweb, In The Beginning... was the Command Line, The Big U and Anathem standing on my bookshelf. After finishing The Big U, I did some Googling to get more information on the book. I've read on Wikipedia that Neal Stephenson himself didn't like the book, but I didn't find it that bad... I've read much worse... Towards the end of the book, the story does get a little extreme, but it is really funny and you really want to know what happens... After The Big U I started in Anathem, it really is something different... I read it in two weeks, on the train to university (2 hours a day). One of the best things about this book is that you actually feel smarter after having read it. It's also cool to recognize concepts from real life in the story, it is really well written, but I can imagine some people will find it a bit long-winded. (I like very detailed stories...) I can't wait for his next book!
